Technical employee for the connecting railway and vehicle fleet (m / f)
As a technical employee for the connecting railway and vehicle fleet, you will support the organization at the operational level in ensuring that everything runs smoothly
Operation on the connecting railway and during internal transport. You are playing a valuable role in the complex production network at the Linz Chemical Park.
You take care of more than 30 km of railway infrastructure as well as the contract management of our fleet
on forklifts, wheel loaders and tractors.
Main tasks :
- Coordination and monitoring of the organizational and technical activities related to the
Connecting line at the Linz Chemical Park (approx. 13,000 wagons / year, approx. 50% dangerous goods) - Contract management with the commissioned company for the provision of, for example, internal transport,
Shifting and weighing services, operational management, training and maintenance - Ensuring safe and reliable transport on the connecting railway
- Creation of the maintenance and refurbishment plans for the connecting railway, as well as coordination and control of all
contractual maintenance services incl. bills - Continuous improvement of the existing railway infrastructure systems and the associated processes
- Interface management with internal specialist departments and external service providers / management of the contractors commissioned
We are looking for:
- Completed technical training (HTL, FH)
- 3-5 years of professional experience in industry – preferably in the railway (infrastructure) area, maintenance, with regard to the management of contractors and contracts as well as project planning
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and expertise in the railway sector
- Fluent in German and English
- Good IT knowledge
- Project management experience and good technical understanding
- Strong communication skills, commitment to improving operations
- High safety and environmental awareness as well as responsible behavior
- Conceptual thinking, problem-solving, implementation and decision-making skills
- Performance-oriented, independent work
We offer:

We are looking for a Senior Consultant Railways specializing in railway infrastructure (m / f / d) for our customer – a consulting company in the field of railway, road and tunnel construction (Austria).
Main tasks :
